MVB, an adaptive and trusted partner on the financial frontier is seeking a highly motivated Internal Audit Data Analyst intern to support projects and initiatives primarily focused on business analytics within the Fintech Internal Audit Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists audit projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project(s) during the internship.
  • Perform audit testing for FinTech functions including electronic payments, gaming, and digital assets.
  • Gather necessary information and write queries using Cognos and PowerBI
  • Perform data analysis to identify potential Audit Findings
  • Develop repeatable queries to support the Fintech Audit function
  • Exposure and opportunity to understand the overall concept of the company, including the business model, customer, goals, etc.
  • Opportunity to present research and findings to management at the conclusion of the internship.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • Junior or Senior year undergraduate or graduate level with a focus in data analytics, Management Information Systems, or similar preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication.
  • Data analytics knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI, and Cognos preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
