MVB, an adaptive and trusted partner on the financial frontier is seeking a highly motivated Fintech Risk & AML intern to support projects and initiatives that are focused on evaluation and mitigation of risk for MVB.

Exposures:

  • Facilitation of research and vetting potential Fintech Clients across verticals including, but not limited to Banking as a Service, Gaming, Digital Assets and Cryptocurrency, Payments, and Fintech Lending
  • Assist in developing Discovery and Enhanced Risk Assessments for prospective and existing clients
  • Contribute to content refinement and development for automated risk assessments
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for internal reporting and approval committees
  • Contribute to the development of internal training
  • Learn how to complete a thorough anti-money laundering (AML) investigation and execution of reporting requirements
  • Opportunity to present research and findings to the leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • Junior or Senior year undergraduate with a focus in finance, banking, audit, risk management or other similar degree/focus preferred
  • Interest in banking, risk mgmt., and investigations a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
