This position is located onsite in our downtown San Diego, California headquarters.

We are currently seeking a Technical Support Intern/Student Assistant to join our Global Customer Support team.

This is a US-based part-time position with flexibility depending on school schedules and holiday breaks. This position will begin remote, however will be expected to join the team in our Downtown San Diego office for hands on training, workshops and socializing (depending on comfort levels).

In this role, you’ll be working with Mitek’s Technical Support Engineers who engage directly with customers via a ticketing system. You’ll work alongside our Customer Support team to help with many support tasks and be included in the overall satisfaction of our strong customer relationships. You’ll develop your knowledge of the identity industry, fraud, Mitek’s process, products, software ecosystem, and best practices. You will also have access to Mitek’s cross-departmental teams, supporting your success and learning.

What you will do

  • Remotely shadow Technical Support Engineers
  • Learn to perform standard Mitek Support tasks and assist with Support tickets
  • Assist with Knowledgebase documentation material
  • Be included in all Support meetings

What you'll need

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology, not graduating earlier than August 2022
  • Interest in working directly with customers
  • Interest in building project management skillset
  • Desire to learn and be a self-starter
  • Natural curiosity
  • Technical aptitude
  • Familiarity with Excel, Tableau and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative attitude
