We are currently looking for an innovative and professional intern to join our team for a summer 2022 internship!

SGRE Summer Intern Program is May 16 – August 12, 2022

Position Overview:

Intern will be responsible for supporting Service Technology department within Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE).

  • Creating draft work instructions/methods statement (we have a backlog of 8+ months in global which we would like to clear off in the region), making changes/corrections to the existing documents
  • Tracking Turbine Service Support Agreement contracts/cases and update in real time, automate if possible
  • Handling Spare Parts identification, part number creation, follow up with global to expedite such cases, search and find part numbers in all SAP systems
  • Search drawings, details and specifications in Product Lifecycle Management
  • system to support tickets from Warranty, Project Management Office, Balance of Plant, After Market and Commissioning
  • Support handling Commissioning related Wind Hub cases
  • Develop and Strengthen One-Note database for technical information of all wind turbine platforms
  • Help develop GE, Vestas, Senvion turbines trouble-shooting guides
  • Help create Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental documents
  • Help support tickets for Balance of Plant trouble-shooting
  • Help conducting training and creating training modules and various presentations
  • Address all Wind hub cases related to performance and monitoring i.e. Symmetric Multi Processing reports, Availability reports, Vibration analysis reports etc.
  • Tracking and analysing KPI reports and providing useful input for areas of improvement
  • Support creation of Spare Parts catalogue by searching and providing information as needed
  • Support Site Stock Optimization project (Parts inventory reduction at various sites across Americas)

Required skills, experience, and education:

  • Pursing Bachelor or Master’s degree in school of Engineering (i.e. electrical, mechanical, chemical, industrial etc.)
  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
  • Rising sophomore, junior, senior or grad student
  • 3.0+ overall GPA
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate innovation and forward-thinking aptitude through previous school projects, employment, or extracurricular activities
  • Qualified applicants may be allowed remote working opportunities, based on business needs

Preferred skills, experience, and education:

  • Experience in renewable energy
