Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating, forecasting, engaging and maintaining MSPCC’s social media presence
• Assist with updating and mapping out MSPCC’s 2022 Communications Calendar
• Assist in planning, writing and brainstorming ideas for the tri-annual newsletter and agency-wide e-news
• Assist with the design of flyers, graphics, evites and other marketing material
• Assist with updating the MSPCC website as needed
• Assist with marketing and outreach for our planned giving efforts
• Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
• Source photos and videos as needed
• Assist with registration, silent auction solicitation, and design pieces for MSPCC’s signature fundraising event, Turning Points (Thursday, March 31st Boston, MA)

Qualifications:

• Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
• Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
• Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
• Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in WordPress is highly desired.
• Knowledge of graphic design a plus
• An effective communicator, both written and oral
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner with donors and community contacts
• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Enthusiasm for the mission of MSPCC and the children/families we serve
