Data Analyst Intern-Fraud and Identity Risk
MVB, an adaptive and trusted partner on the financial frontier is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst intern to support projects and initiatives that are focused on analyzing data related to the prevention of fraud and identity theft.

Exposures:
- Work with other data analysts and SMEs to identify new reports
- Create data queries, build reports and dashboards in collaboration with analysts and other interns using data analytic tools
- Perform documentation of data requirements and data dictionaries
- Working with other intern(s) in Risk, build comparative and supporting cross reference reporting that provides a holistic view of performance and opportunities.
- Document the Risk Reporting Program in Matrix form.
- Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
- Opportunity to collaborate with other interns and departments including, but not limited to: BSA, Information Technology, Operations, Service Vendors
- Opportunity to present research and findings at the conclusion of the internship program.
Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:
- Undergraduate in their Junior or Senior year, or Masters candidate with a focus in a quantitative field of study (mathematics, data analytics, statistics) or similar preferred.
- Interest in financial services, fraud and identity risk and data analytics.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication.
- Solid analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Coding experience and data analytical software experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
