Position Summary

The Project management team is in the process of implementing an Enterprise Project and portfolio planning tool – Planisware to support both R&D and IT projects. All of our R&D project plans will be housed in the tool, with built in templates for programs and functions based on where the asset is in its lifecycle. These templates are built out with durations, i.e. the time it takes from moving from one activity to another based on internal experiences. The selected candidate will look at durations between key milestones and activities, develop metrics around these, compare the metrics to R&D external benchmarks and help the Project management organization and the Arvinas Leadership Team align on these metrics. Once these metrics are aligned, the intern will then go back into the templates and readjust those durations where appropriate to be reloaded into the tool.

Through this experience the intern will have a pretty “eagles eye” view on key milestones and activities in drug development, opportunity to learn about performance metrics and KPIs in R&D, and perform data analysis with tools such as Excel or other dashboard based tools. This effort will be timely for Arvinas as we would be about 6 months post our tool implementation and enable us to assess if we have the right structure/durations in our templates, take an outside in perspective on those metrics with benchmarks and update our templates accordingly. This assessment can also prompt the Project management leadership to have the discussion on metrics and KPI with the LT so these elements can be tracked and reported on consistently.

This position reports to the Project management lead and will be located at our headquarters in New Haven, CT or can be performed in a hybrid or remote manner.
