NBC Sports Next is a subdivision of NBC Sports and home to all NBCUniversal digital applications in sports and technology within its three groups: Youth & Recreational Sports, Golf, and Betting, Gaming & Emerging Media. NBC Sports Next is fueled by its mission to innovate, create larger-than-life events and connect with sports fans through technology to provide the ultimate in immersive experiences.

Opportunities may include (but are not limited to):

Digital Strategy – the intern candidate will work closely with a team of 15 digital marketers gaining exposure across many projects and channels of digital marketing. The Digital Strategy team for NBC Sports Next supports brands such as SportsEngine, GoMotion, TourneyMachine, GolfNow, GolfPass and the Olympics for their digital strategy and execution needs.

Customer Success – The Customer Experience Internship program will focus on multiple aspects of the customer experience in positions such as Project Management, Training, or Customer Success.

Events – The Events business within NBC Sports Next, Youth and Recreation, creates software that helps tournament operators conduct their events. The intern will be responsible for working with our sales reps on targeting new customer prospects, reporting and integrating our events platforms into our CRM (Salesforce), creating detailed reports and partnering with the Customer Support team on our onboarding process for new customers.

Safety – The Safety division within SportsEngine serves as the destination for managing coaches and volunteers. In the Safety, SR Intern role you will have exposure to: Managing a sales funnel, prospect marketing, Salesforce, Risk Management & SaaS industry.

Sales Operations, Revenue (Finance) - The Sales Operations team is tasked with supporting the functional and analytical needs of the Sales organization. This includes helping to manage critical workflows that help to organize information that allows the Sales team to efficiently manage their customers.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress

  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal

Additional Job Requirements

  • If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.

  • Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Student with class standing of junior or above preferred
  • Strong interest in the media industry; knowledge of sports and/or fantasy sports is a plus
  • Commitment to building an inclusive work environment
  • Ability to multitask and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Previous internship experience or on-campus leadership
  • For Digital Strategy: Google Ads or Facebook Ads Platforms
