Who you are
In your application, please include a writing sample that's roughly 500 to 2,000 words that demonstrates your ability to write clear, concise, informative copy. An example would be an article you wrote for the school paper or an essay for a class. Writing samples are for assessment purposes only.
- Major in Marketing, Advertising, Web Design, Communications or a related field preferred with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning and ability to work independently who has excellent writing skills with a focus on writing concise, informative content
- Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets and confident using pivot tables and formulas like vlookup
- Strong quantitative analysis to evaluate data
- Critical thinking and the ability to analyze the underlying logic of the content and how it will improve the user experience
- Ready to take ownership of the work and consider the best strategy
- Bonus points if you have prior experience with digital/organic marketing or web design
What a day as an intern looks like
- Learn organic marketing best practices for content that consistently ranks at the top of search results
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Refresh insurance content to make it more useful to users and more effective in driving traffic while researching insurance products to create user-focused analyses
- Audit and optimize on-page SEO elements to improve page and ranking performance
- Optimize content performance by running tests and tracking key metrics with Google Analytics and SEMRush
- Support conversion and engagement tests designed to improve user experience
- Improve site usability and implement standard methodologies for page formatting and design
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, participate in high-impact idea-generation sessions and summarize test results and findings with peers at the conclusion of your internship

- Learn and implement SEO best practices for insurance pages that drive millions in annual revenue
- Support scaling high-impact, conversion-focused testing and Improve both user engagement and business performance
- Help offer our users better choices, support and education in their financial decisions
Before you go
- The Summer internship lasts 12 weeks and up to 40 hours per week
- Minimum 3.5 GPA highly preferred
- Unfortunately, Internships at LendingTree are not open to students who will require sponsorship now or at any point in the future.
