HomeX is an end-to-end technology and services platform for both homeowners and service providers, radically improving the historically complex and fragmented home services industry.

We're looking for an undergrad or masters accounting intern to join the Finance and Accounting team this summer to assist with finance & accounting operations. Preference given to 3rd/4th year students.

As the Accounting Intern you will:

• Aid in month end activities such as, bill entry, AR Process, AP Process, Journal Entry, Account Rec, etc.
• Help manage AP invoices and disbursements.
• Update and maintain monthly close process documentation
• Financial variance analysis
• Assist with building material for executive and investor upcoming presentations/decks

Key Qualifications:

• Ability to complete a 12-16 week summer internship - assume internships will be remote in the US, with option to work from our Chicago office pending reopening date
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or accounting masters program
• Professional track record with demonstrated analytical mindset
• Experience leading entrepreneurial efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• A passion for the HomeX mission
• Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship/relocation)
• Technologically savvy, understands how to use and navigate multiple applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Quickbooks, etc.)
