Serco-NA has a career opportunity for a Junior level Pricing Analyst to support our Corporate Pricing Team in Herndon, Virginia (hybrid telework 1 day remote).
You will be working with other Pricing Analysts while learning how to support competitive, strategic proposal efforts, international opportunities, as well as follow-on pursuits. This is a position that will require extensive collaboration with cross-functional proposal teams, subcontractors, and possibly Senior Organization. Must be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as multitask across a variety of tasks.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- A variety of estimating and pricing activities as an integral member of the Pricing Team and will report to the Pricing Director.
- This is a position requiring good reading comprehension skills, good communication skills, responsiveness, attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, compliance with our estimating system, a willingness to work extended hours as needed, and make revisions and see a proposal through to completion.
- You will assist technical personnel in the development of credible resource estimates (BOEs) to contribute to the development of winning business strategies.
- Coordinate closely with other pricing analysts and contract representative personnel to develop proposal pricing and cost volume artifacts.
- Work comfortably with MS Excel, existing pricing models and/or templates, as well as quickly assimilate new methodologies.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
A bachelor's degree preferred and 2+ years of experience or 6 years of relevant pricing experience in lieu of degree.- Must be proficient with math, basic finance principles and desktop applications (ie – MS Office Suite). Proficiency with MS Excel is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and methodologies on a routine basis.
- Must possess professional demeanor with above average communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to understand company proposal related policies, procedures, and concepts.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage time and prioritize workload.
- Ability to learn processes quickly and apply knowledge to unique situations.
- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and adapt quickly to a wide range of work assignments and time requirements
- Willingness to ask questions when assignments are unclear.
