Strategy Intern (Summer)
Godfrey Dadich Partners (GDP) brings together the best of journalism, strategy, and design to deliver The New Editorial—engaging and meaningful communications. From documentary films and longform journalism to corporate strategies and brand campaigns, GDP helps brands, organizations, and movements tell better stories. GDP was founded in February 2017 by co-CEOs Patrick Godfrey and Scott Dadich. Godfrey co-founded Godfrey Q in 2003, and fourteen years later Dadich joined to lead a new kind of firm. Godfrey Dadich Partners is a part of the kyu Collective. And we're looking for a strategy intern to join our team.
The Strategy Intern will be working with the strategy team by researching and synthesizing cultural trends and movements into resonant and inspiring strategy for Godfrey Dadich Partners (GDP) and its client partners.
Through the guidance of the strategy team, the Strategy Intern will partner with account services, media, editorial, creative, and production teams to craft creative briefs, competitive analyses, trend reports, and quantitative and qualitative research. The Strategy Intern will work to interrogate the existing understanding of the client, their marketplace, and the target audience. This work will inform creative output ranging from traditional advertising to written, video, and audio editorial content to brand identity and strategy.
The ideal candidate is a hungry strategic mind that is happiest when learning something new and sees difficult problems as an opportunity for creativity. This intern is deeply curious and passionate about understanding cultures and the forces that shape them. Primary and secondary research and creative collaboration will comprise about three-quarters of the intern’s time; the balance will be a dynamic mix of internal communication around strategy projects, client interactions, and supporting new business needs. They will collaborate closely with the other members of the strategy and account services team to ensure creative work is resonant and addresses the client’s communication needs. The intern will also work closely with the editorial and creative teams to research and pitch new communication channels to address our needs.
Candidates most likely to thrive are self-starters who like trying to solve a challenge their own way first before coming together to collaborate. They are comfortable receiving an assignment or directions, then running with the project, taking responsibility for communications with their team to check in when they want assistance or guidance.
This is a paid, virtual role and GDP will support this role with opportunities for ongoing education.
Godfrey Dadich is an organization dedicated to ideas, process, and vision. But we know that true success comes from people. We’re always looking for new collaborators who believe optimism is a strategy for making a better future, and we recognize that great stories come from people with all manner of backgrounds and experiences. We’re committed to building a more diverse and inclusive team; we value different points of view and welcome unconventional paths. If your experience doesn’t entirely conform to the qualifications listed above, please apply with a cover letter to let us know how you believe you can bring your unique skills to the GDP team.
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States for Godfrey Dadich Partners.
