Are you an undergraduate student interested in building an exciting product marketing career in tech? Do you want to join a team who’s competing in one of the fastest growing, and fiercest industries? If that sounds interesting, the marketing intern role at Splunk is for you!

This is a unique opportunity for a driven, inquisitive, and detail-oriented student who wants to gain skills essential to become an effective product marketing manager. As a product marketing intern in the DevOps group you have the opportunity to create messaging, strategy, and content for software developers and executives who build our digital world. You’ll collaborate and execute alongside Splunk's Observability PMM team, and get exposed to the functions of a global tech company, including: product management, sales, strategy, demand generation, corporate marketing, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and refine messaging that resonates with technical buyers and users
  • Research competitive messaging and help refine key sales and marketing materials
  • Analyze marketing results to help measure and improve Splunk’s effectiveness in awareness, enablement, and demand generation
  • Create assets and messaging included in go-to-market assets for upcoming product launches
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Product Management and Sales to determine opportunities to improve sales and marketing pipeline

Skill Requirements

  • General knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics and tools
  • Proficiency with G Suite and/or Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to quickly learn and process information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Very organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Collaborative self-starter who wants to dive right in

Education Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, engineering, business, economics or computer science.
  • Applicant must have a graduation date of December 2022 or later, or Spring 2022 with plans of returning to an educational program in Fall 2022.
