Product Marketing Intern – Opportunity for Working Remotely

Working as part of the Cloud Infrastructure Business Group, you will deliver the next generation of multi-cloud connectivity through Cloud Infrastructure that enables millions of IT admins to leverage their vSphere domain expertise to instantly access VMware Cloud capacity and VMware Cross-Cloud Services.

In this rewarding role, you will be able to work with product marketing leaders to help position, message and launch the next generation of Cloud Infrastructure solutions. The Product Marketing Intern will play a support role in successfully driving VMware’s local and distributed cloud solutions into the market.

• Understanding the current market environment and developing go-to-market deliverables to drive customer awareness and promote the solution value to industry influencers
• Execute the product go-to-market strategy, developing core messaging to drive product interest, working with core marketing and GTM teams to achieve common goals.
• Develop positioning and persona-based messaging that resonates with customers, relating relevant product capabilities in terms that they understand and care about
• Deliver financial analysis that clearly demonstrate the economic benefits of deploying VMware solutions on premises at the edge or in the cloud. .

The Product Marketing intern will be part of a cross-functional product marketing team that operates in a leadership environment focused on empowerment, collaboration, and communication as the cornerstones for success. The location of this role is flexible within the United States, where work can be done from an office some days during a week and other days from a non-VMware building.

Job requirements are as follows:

• First year MBA candidate with an undergrad degree in computer science or engineering.
• Understanding of software defined infrastructure, cloud native applications, hyperconverged infrastructure or enterprise IT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling product messaging and translate technology features into business benefits.
