Internship - Product Management and Marketing

As an integral member of the Treatment Planning Solutions (SW) product team, you will support early product adoption activities and help drive the success of a new suite of Varian’s software portfolio. In this role, you will participate managing software products early in the product release cycle, including helping drive early product adoption, collaborate with product management and marketing teams, and research/create Key Performance Indicators to help manage the business.
Role:
- Research/quantify customer segments and collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams on marketing campaigns
- Identify and create the business KPIs for product management to use to effectively manage the business
- Develop and streamline the quarterly business review process
- Perform financial analyses and modeling
Desired Qualifications:
- Candidates currently enrolled in an MBA program
- Preferred 2-4 years of work experience in product management, product marketing, project management, data analysis, and/or finance
- Outside-the-box thinker who will communicate ideas that challenge status quo
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Experience working with data and calculating business metrics
- Moderate to excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work across organizational functions
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis with the ability to translate the results into effective communication tools (presentations, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and effectively manage/prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
