Position Summary:

SiriusXM is looking for an intern to join our Ad Sales Marketing team. The Ad Sales Marketing team is responsible for collaborating with internal teams and advertisers to create and execute cross-platform partnership opportunities on SiriusXM’s talk and sports channels that achieve client’s goals and maximize revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the Ad Sales Advertising Team responsible for selling ad space on non-music channels.
• Track competitors and identify potential advertiser prospects.
• Research advertiser products and services.
• Participate in executing sold advertising partnerships through creating on-air copy and specific elements as it relates to contract.
• Actively participate in marketing team meetings that collaborate with the sales, programming and traffic team.
• Write a marketing proposal and advertiser promotional spot based on knowledge gained throughout the semester.
• Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Minimum Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
• Advertising, business, marketing, communications, media, sports management or related majors preferred.

Requirements and General Skills:

• Good project management and planning skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Familiar with SiriusXM programming.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
