Established in 1977, basys is a leading provider of technology solutions and consulting services in the highly complex, regulated benefit administration software industry. As a paid Technical Communications Intern in our Software Solutions team, you will assist in the production of training content and user documentation for basys employees and application end users. You will be afforded the opportunity to work closely with our highly skilled Software Engineers and Analysts under the mentorship of our Technical Writer. A Look Inside the Job:

• Assist development teams with creating/ updating application documentation
• Update and publish product user manuals
• Create content and/or review, edit and format training PowerPoints
• Assist with end user training webinars and virtual training sessions
• Curate existing learning materials to identify outdated items, update scripts and re-record
• Script and produce quick videos for the MYbasys Learning Library
• Support basys Fundamentals Skill Development Plan by consolidating materials, updating the resource references, and identifying gaps for future documentation
• Maintain data in the Training environment to support training curriculum

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Technical Communications, Instructional Systems Design, Information Systems, English, Writing, or a related field
• Have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; however, a 3.5 or higher is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced Agile development environment
• Prior experience with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Word
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical terminology and concepts in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical resources
• Requires a commitment to work up to 20 hours per week and can be worked remotely
