Intern - Customer Experience Sales Engineer

The Customer Experience Sales Engineer Intern will have the opportunity to assist in growth of our Customer Experience (CX) practice. The intern will work with the Pre-Sales Engineering department to focus on CX growth. They would have the opportunity to learn the full cycle of a sales engineering process including discovery, solution design and deal construction, and customer presentations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform background research on potential customers
  • Research and assess how CX is impacting different verticals, and regions and work with team to develop appropriate messaging
  • Participate in line of business discovery to determine areas where business and financial performance could be realized through CX technology.
  • Design appropriate solutions that achieve business performance objectives by leveraging the Black Box portfolio of software and services.
  • Learn deal construction and participate in presentation to customers.
  • Assist in some of the standardization within our processes and documentation that will happen in CX.

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

  • Opportunities to learn about different aspects of the IT Services business.
  • On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor/supervisor.

  • Individual and group projects.
  • StrengthsFinder and DiSC Assessment.
  • Roundtables with top level executives.
  • Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program.
  • Will be assigned a Coach and Mentor to guide them through their experience.
  • Will participate in completing a project which will be presented to Black Box Management at the conclusion of the Internship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited Bachelor's degree.
  • Business , Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or other related major
  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in technical sales
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of this position
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.
  • Previous experience in customer facing role preferred

SCHEDULE/LOCATION:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM with flexibility depending on incumbent’s schedule.
  • The internship program will begin on May 16th and end on August 5th. You must be able to start on May 16th to be considered for the opportunity.
