Intern - Associate Sales Engineer

The Associate Sales Engineer would work with the Pre-Sales Engineering team and work on analysis of process, onboarding various templates. They would have the opportunity to learn the full cycle of a sales engineering process and potentially have the opportunity to work on some deals themselves.

Location: Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide an analysis of our onboarding, process and templates.
  • Partner with our engineers and have the ability to sit in on client calls, and learn how to structure deals.
  • Assist in creating a Knowledge Base for the Sales Engineering team
  • Participate in line of business discovery to determine areas where business and financial performance could be realized through technology.
  • Design appropriate solutions that achieve business performance objectives by leveraging the Black Box portfolio of software and services.
  • Present technical solutions within Black Box market leading portfolio of software applications and services to clients and partners.
  • Assist in solution demonstrations and Proof of Concepts activities.
  • Work in conjunction with our bid and proposal team to ensure timely and accurate client proposals

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

  • Opportunities to learn about different aspects of the IT Services business.
  • On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor/supervisor.
  • Online, virtual, and classroom learning opportunities.
  • Individual and group projects.
  • StrengthsFinder and DiSC Assessment.
  • Roundtables with top level executives.
  • Bi Weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program.
  • Will be assigned a Coach and Mentor to guide them through their experience.
  • Will participate in completing a project which will be presented to Black Box Management at the conclusion of the Internship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited Bachelor's degree.
  • Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or other related major
  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is required in performing all functions of this position
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.

SCHEDULE/LOCATION:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM with flexibility depending on incumbent’s schedule.
  • The internship program will begin on May 16th and end on August 5th. You must be able to start on May 16th to be considered for the opportunity.
