Digital Performance Analytics Intern
We are seeking a Digital Analytics Intern to come join our team! Assurant provides an excellent learning environment for Interns. The internship is designed for current students and soon to be college graduates to gain a well-rounded introduction to and experience in Digital Analytics. The program is a paid internship consisting of one semester (12 to 16 weeks).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Analysis/Development 80%
- Assist the Digital Analytics Team by performing data collection, data analysis, digital analysis, modeling and reporting of key measurements
- Assist with analyzing and developing innovative new and/or existing process changes
- Intern will gain experience using Google Analytics, Data Studio, Tag Manager and will work towards earning a certificate in Google Analytics.
Project Management 20%
- Build PowerPoint presentations and present insights from given analyses to the leadership team
- Participate in brainstorm sessions in the development of new solutions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Assist in the development of process mapping, standard operating procedures and work instructions

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2nd year completed and currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate Marketing, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related program of study. Master’s degree candidates will also be considered
- 2 years of strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau and PowerPoint experience
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Python or R
- Data cleaning and transformation capabilities
- General understanding of data science process flow
- Familiarity with SQL Query language and relevant techniques (tables, indexing, filtering, joins, Window functions, etc.)
- General understanding of Customer Experience principles
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
- Must be organized and work well with constant priority changes
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master or Ph.D. degree program in the following fields: Marketing Analytics, Applied Analytics, Computer Science, MBA, Applied Mathematics or Statistics or Operations Research, or equivalent fields
- Strong hands-on capabilities, familiar with Windows and/or Linux operations systems and applications
- Proficient in Google Analytics, Tag Manager or BigQuery
- Experience in advanced data analytics and visualization tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI/Tableau, Django, Flask, TensorFlow.js, etc.
- Experience in SQL/NoSQL, Digital Analytics, Machine learning, and knowledge of data management/warehousing are highly desired
- 1+ year of related work experience or equivalent project experience
- Experience with big data, deep learning frameworks and cloud computing platforms, like Spark, CUDA, TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, Azure, AWS, GCP
