The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?

You will be part of the Customer Experience and Success (CXS) Product Marketing team, and in particular, the marketing team for VMware Learning Services. You will gain exposure to and experience with many aspects of technology product marketing. This can include content development, digital marketing, and events. Product Marketing is where the action is in marketing! It offers exposure to and the ability to contribute to all aspects of marketing.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

This is a 12 week internship program.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

You will work closely with the CXS Product Marketing Director and the Sr. Learning Product Marketing Manager and assist with creating or updating customer-facing collateral such as sales presentations, course catalogs, or Learning Paths. You may help with our digital activities around .com, our internal sales portal, or partner program.

Depending on start date, you may work with the team to help manage the global activities at VMworld 2022 including speaking sessions, meeting schedules, in-person event activities, and promotions. Organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset will help you succeed.

You will use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create collateral or manage activities. We use Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams for collaboration.

What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

You will work closely with the CXS Product Marketing Director and the Sr. Learning Product Marketing Manager. The entire product marketing team is distributed across the US and the UK. They work on marketing for all the VMware services within CXS including Learning, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support. This is a very collaborative team who enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience. We value self-starters who are eager to volunteer for challenging assignments and want to expand their knowledge and skills. The Director of the team has worked with many new college grads and interns over her career and believes it’s critical to help new talent discover where they can excel so that they will be able to select their first job intelligently, love the work, and guide their career.

Remote: this role is fully remote and can be done anywhere in the US.
