WORK SCHEDULE:

• Summer: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Fall/Spring semester; Part-time, 10-15 hours per week.
  • Must be able to meet the hour requirements by being available between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Receive on-the-job training in Enterprise Architecture.
• Develop knowledge and familiarity with computer systems, programs, hardware, and/or languages to obtain valuable experience and exposure to current technologies. Technologies may include: languages, databases, online platforms, e-commerce activity, information security, and/or enterprise resource planning.
• Observe the Information Services (I/S) team and becomes familiar with its environment.
• Assist with projects and complete routine work assignments as directed by management.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal and external business customers.
• Participate in a variety of activities with other interns and employees throughout the summer, including social and volunteering events.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

ABOUT YOU:

• Knowledge of and ability to use various software applications on a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Skills in oral and written communication, human relations and creativity.
• Willingness and motivation to learn new technology and skills.
• Ability to analyze material and exercise good judgement, be flexible.
• Current Avenue Scholar, Blair Community Schools, Millard Public Schools, Ralston School District, Westside School District or DC West School District student entering their senior year of high school and in good standing.
• You help promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the department and the larger organization. You value different ideas and opinions. You listen courageously and remain curious in all that you do.
• You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript preferred.
