Poly’s intern experience offers students the opportunity to explore a career in the field of their studies. Our 10-week summer program, beginning June 6th and ending August 12, 2022 provides interns with the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. We are looking for someone who is passionate about in-house legal practice and has the ability to learn and support a broad spectrum of legal services, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, employment, compliance, governance, dispute resolution and other disciplines.
This is an exciting opportunity for any aspiring Jurisprudence Doctorate candidate to come into a high growth, fast paced environment and get real hands-on experience.
Your day to day:
- Support supply chain, vendor, channel partner and customer contract reviews, drafting, editing and negotiations
- Support management and updating of legal contracts templates, policies, and public sector law libraries
- Research areas of law including employment, compliance, governance, privacy and others at the direction of senior legal staff
- Support investigations, research and communications related to pre-litigation activities
- Support legal documentation needs for Requests for Proposals/Requests for Quotations
- Support various aspects of intellectual property administration, maintenance, and prosecution
- Support review of public filing documents, including proxies
Prior to the end of the internship, you will also create a presentation on your internship experience, projects, and outcomes and present to business leadership.
