When you join LPK as a Design intern, you will be joining a collaborative team and we expect you to bring raw design talent, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness and drive to experiment in the work. We will give you the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences. With the assistance of your LPK guide, you will develop skills in strategic design, technical knowledge and presentation abilities. You will play an active support role on a team or two, while being fully immersed in LPK culture. Work doesn't have to be work...have fun, lighten the mood and enjoy a laugh. Each day brings something new and different, so expect to work on multiple projects at the same time. Gain broad experience and contribute to a variety of initiatives. So what are you waiting for? Expectations

  • Be customer-service oriented...make someone else's workday easier by making it easy to work with you.
  • Be up for anything! Don't deselect yourself for work. There is learning in all tasks and in all phases of the project.
  • It's due tomorrow...no problem, I can handle it! Be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ego? Check it at the door.
  • Participate in and gain exposure to the LPK culture, but don't fade into the woodwork. We want outstanding performers and personalities.
  • Bring a point of view, stay curious and ask questions.
  • Bring your thirst and passion for beautiful design. Show us the fresh thinking we've been missing because you weren't here.

Experience

  • Working toward a degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Typographic sensitivity
  • Program knowledge: Keynote and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
  • Good concepting and layout skills
  • Digital mindset and expression
  • Ability to push creative boundaries
  • Hand skills, comping and assembling
  • Sketch & InVision proficiency a plus, but not required
  • Fluency in English
