The Internship Details:

• This position is located in New York City or Minneapolis Minnesota
  • (potential for hybrid/remote TBD based on Covid19 protocols)
• Hours are 8am-5pm (CST) / 9am-6pm (EST), Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (1hr unpaid lunch daily)
• This is a paid internship ($30 per hour)

The Team / The Intern Experience:

As part of the Platform Engineering team, you'll contribute to the software design, development, and overall lifecycle of our payment and data exchange platform capabilities, upon which other DailyPay offerings are built or customers directly connect to. You'll work under the guidance of a more senior engineer, but alongside team members to deliver a high quality product, experimenting, learning, collaborating and adjusting as you go.

• Building robust, secure, performant and intuitive product features and capabilities
• Refining code, so it is optimized for scalability, maintainability, and availability
• Collaborating with the team and internal partners on refinement of stories and tasks
• Participating in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices

What You Bring to The Team:

• In Fall 2022 you will be in your Junior or Senior year of your Bachelor's program
• Some background in an object-oriented programming language
  • we are a Ruby shop. If you haven't used Ruby, be ready to learn on the job!
• A critical eye, a curious nature and a voracious appetite to learn
• An interest in design, crafting high quality user experiences and readable code
• Interest in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
