The Continuous Improvement Intern role is accountable to develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO Continuous Improvement practices through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.

Accountable to complete a summer internship program designed to expose individuals to the financial services industry and its operations, develop and hone leadership skills and practices, and prepare candidates to assume financial services industry roles post college graduation. This will especially focus on Continuous Improvement and LEAN practices deployed in our Operations departments.

Attend and participate in required Internship programming to develop and enhance core skills, industry knowledge, and key system and process understanding in alignment with the FNN Operating Philosophy.

Participate and/or lead the completion of, assigned, short-term projects requested by the manager and team across FNBO. These projects will have a direct impact on our Continuous Improvement practices, and they will be done in partnership with our two Continuous Improvement team members.

Projects may include:

  • Upgrade our SharePoint Site from Document Storage to Education Center

  • Work through Scoping of Focus Improvements/Innovation Projects

  • Work with the team to update CI branded tools, templates, and content as we adjust our program

  • Team Study for Problem Completion Times - Identify bottlenecks/help resolve

  • Help launch new team on our Managing for Daily Improvement program (including Daily Huddles, KPI development, and Problem Solving practices)

Seeking:

  • Junior or Senior

  • Advanced Excel skills and SharePoint skills preferred

  • Classes completed in Business/Organizational design/Operations/Lean, SharePoint a plus

Location:

Seeking candidate in Omaha area. Primary Remote may be considered based on qualifications.
