Tax/Finance Intern
Job Description
Vista Outdoor is currently looking for tax/finance intern candidates to work 40 hours a week during non-school periods/semesters (generally this is the 12 week period during summer months). Vista Outdoor’s tax internship position is designed to provide a broad exposure to the tax function including federal and state income tax compliance, sales and use tax compliance, tax controversy, and tax accounting. The Position:
This position is located at our Anoka MN facility with an anticipated start date May/June 2022.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and prepare book to taxable income computations
- Analyze and reconcile financial statement data for tax return use
- Prepare federal and state tax work papers
- Assist in preparation of state sales and use tax returns
- Assist in preparation of personal property tax returns
- Assist with tax notices and audits
- Research and document tax technical issues
- Work on special projects as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Junior/Senior level in Bachelors’ degree program for accounting/finance degree. Tax emphasis is preferred.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Quick learner
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
