Internship Program Overview:
Our goal is to provide a meaningful and hands-on summer work experience in a high-growth start-up. This will be a full-time, paid 10-week internship program beginning Monday, June 6th, 2022.

What does a work environment look like at Vouch?
Vouch has a 3-HQ model: Office-Based, Office-Linked, and Remote-First. This role is Office Based, which means that team members are expected to live near one of our main offices (SF or Chicago) and be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays with 1 day of flexibility. However, due to Covid, we are promoting flexibility with this structure and currently encourage folks to stay home if they feel more comfortable.
Role Responsibilities:
We are seeking a confident, motivated, and creative sales intern to expand our Learning & Development program and provide unique improvement insights to our sales process compared to Vouch’s competitors in the space. This role has a high degree of exposure to leaders across our entire sales and success team in the organization and many development opportunities for self-motivated individuals.
You will play an integral role in developing and expanding our Learning & Development program and supporting Vouch’s purpose to help entrepreneurs and the companies they’re building manage their most important risks, enabling them to foster healthy workplaces, business practices, and relationships. A highly qualified intern can work with understanding semi-complex insurance concepts and putting them into an easy-to-understand lesson plan. They also can work side by side with current team members to provide support in any areas of bottlenecks to help us thrive as one.
Specific activities and responsibilities may include:
- Review and understand what makes Vouch different in the space and understand the insurance market at large
- Establish and deliver Lessonly plans based on both existing and original content
- Create battlecards to key competitors and provide insights into what areas where Vouch has strengths & weaknesses
- Shadowing and supporting Sales & Success team members on day to day operations including (but not limited to) coverage comparisons, intercom support, and CRM data entry
Qualifications:
- Current college junior, senior, or graduate student
- Concentration in Insurance, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar business field. Majors in non-business areas may also be considered with experience in insurance or sales fields.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Understanding of commercial insurance products and the willingness to rapidly learn about new insurance developments
- Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on real-time interaction, either written or verbal
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize high impact work
Nice to Have:
- Experience in insurance, sales, or business development
- Prior internship experience in underwriting, sales, or other functional sales/insurance areas
- Demonstrated interest in commercial insurance products especially Professional Liability, Cyber, Property, and General Liability
- Demonstrated success in customer service or sales-type position
