Project Management Office (PMO) IT Intern – Job Description
This internship will provide the opportunity to learn about Project Management and Information Technology. You will work on projects that will give you hands-on experience with IT tools and project management methodology. A project management intern will have exposure to maintaining project documentation and assisting in project management tasks. The opportunity will allow you to sharpen your communication and problem-solving skills in a business environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work hands-on with Agile Scrum Masters and Enterprise Project Managers
- Assist with identifying, reviewing, documenting, and reporting business requirements, business processes, and key meeting action items
- Day to day management of change requests related to projects assigned
- Assist in the documentation and tracking of project risks and issues
- Build rapport with end users to elicit problem details, provide training, and ensure issue resolution
- Work closely with multiple departments regarding resource availability and task updates
- Contribute to the improvement of PMO processes by focusing on people, process, and technology
Job Qualifications:
- Junior/senior undergraduate or graduate student, enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration or Project management.
- Availability for a full-time 11-week program during Summer 2022.
- Exposure to/coursework related to business management, change management, project management, organizational development.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships of collaboration and trust.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and create presentations regarding project management concepts.
- Demonstrated computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software.
