Job Description
Grace is excited to announce our 2022 Summer Internship Program. Your internship project could be focused on one or more of the following disciplines: Environmental, Health and Safety; Research & Development; Process Technology/Engineering; Maintenance and Reliability; and Capital Management. These intern projects address Grace's day to day business needs and the work you accomplish will be an integral part for creating solutions and/or streamlining process’.
Examples of past Technical Internship projects:
  • Systematic Experiments with Hydroprocessing Catalysts- Utilize lab scale and pilot scale equipment for synthesis of hydro processing catalysts to draft and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Improving Powder Flow of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients - Evaluate and research the role of Silica particles in improving the powder flow properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients in comparison to competitor products
  • Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering - Test mechanical integrity of equipment and evaluate new suppliers/equipment

General Internship Details:
  • Duration - 12 weeks (May 23 - August 12)
  • Potential locations include Columbia & Curtis Bay, MD; Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, LA; Chicago, IL; East Chicago, IN; Albany, OR; Chattanooga, TN
  • Paid Hourly
  • Housing and Transportation will not be provided
  • Remote, hybrid, and on-site projects

Required Skills

  • Applicants MUST:
o be entering their junior, senior year or currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related science or engineering field.
o have a minimum of a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.
o be able to work the entire duration of the program without any interruptions, except for company holidays (May 23- August 12)
