Software Development IT Intern – Job Description
Our Software Developers are responsible for designing, coding, and unit testing mission critical products and services that are used by thousands of end users. They create and support a variety of products, from our Dynamics-based CRM to custom web portals and mobile apps. Our applications are built using the Microsoft .NET stack, leveraging Azure for cloud services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work hands-on with Medical Solutions software development teams
- Design and write functional, maintainable code
- Work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to help determine priority and assess timelines
- Participate in all agile ceremonies, including planning, pointing, demos, and retros
- Assist with code reviews and unit testing
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and convey those needs to other team members in an understandable fashion
- Contribute to the improvement of software development by focusing on people, process, and technology
Job Qualifications:
- Junior/senior undergraduate or graduate student, enrolled in a degree program in Information Technology or a related field
- Availability for a full-time 11-week program during Summer 2022
- Exposure to/coursework related to application development
- A desire to learn and work in a .NET enterprise environment
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new concepts
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships of collaboration and trust
- Demonstrated computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferences:
- Previous experience in a business setting preferred
- Experience with web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS preferred
