Junior Business Analyst and Administrator
ICF is seeking a driven, early-career team member with a desire to grow their business career in the cybersecurity, data science, homeland security, risk/resilience, and technology markets. This position will provide junior-level business analysis and executive-level administrative support for one of ICF’s business units. The successful candidate will directly support senior leaders to ensure the organization can efficiently accomplish growth initiatives and complex tasks. The individual will assist with business development process support, coordinate marketing and outreach efforts, keep the executive’s and organization’s communications organized, provide knowledge management activities, manage schedules for the executive and senior leadership team, and conduct a variety of administrative functions that support the successful operations of the business unit. The position provides the opportunity to interface with senior management and other operations team members to review, analyze, and understand business results. Business acumen, foundational understanding of emerging technology, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential to this role. You will work individually, as well as within a team environment, so adaptability, confidentiality, and strong communication skills are critical to the success of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage tracking systems for business development opportunities
Conduct reporting and analysis on pipeline and business development activities
Interface and build collaborative relationships with departments across ICF, such as Contracts, Pricing, Project Management, and Business Unit Leads
Assist in managing financial pipeline which will include communicating with senior management regarding pipeline data, and ensuring project/proposal managers, and other senior personnel, are aware of the status of opportunities
Assist in developing marketing, outreach, and technical sales materials under the guidance of business development and subject matter experts
Support conference attendance and sponsorship for both educational and marketing purposes
Work side-by-side with project managers to initiate new proposals and projects
Provide administrative assistance, such as maintaining comprehensive and accurate records, performing minor accounting duties, and writing and editing communications on the executive’s behalf
Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
Perform various operational functions, as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Risk/Resilience.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and applications (Excel, Exchange, Powerpoint , Project, Word, etc )
Professional Skills
Business acumen and desire to grow in technical sales and/or business management
Ability to multi-task with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Aptitude to interface with geographically dispersed, diverse teams
Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
Team player with analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills and/or Experience:
Experience with Sharepoint and/or other knowledge management systems
Familiarity with Government contracting cycles
Experience in a technical or business-related internship
