PPD’s Summer Diversity Internship Program (SDIP) - Clinical This internship is uniquely designed for high-performing students interested in growing their experience in the contract research organization (CRO) industry who self-identify as members of traditionally underrepresented minority groups in the pharmaceutical and drug development industry.
These groups include racial groups like Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), protected veterans and/or individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize your problem solving and analytical skills to understand our business and support impactful projects
- Gain exposure through networking events and shadowing opportunities
- Participate in professional development opportunities focused on topics such as personal brand, building relationships, interviewing and resume building, career preparedness, and engaging in continuous coaching and development with the assistance of a team of mentors
- Attending and participating in meetings and conference calls
- Other ad-hoc tasks under the direction of your supervisor
Job Qualification
Qualifications
- Students must self-identify as a member of traditionally underrepresented group such as Black, Indigenous and people of color (BIPOC), protected veteran, and/or as an individual with disabilities
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Must have an interest in the CRO industry
- Must be a rising junior or senior
- Preferred Majors: Clinical Research, Science, Public Health
Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate program (typically enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Good English and grammar skills
- Good computer skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
