We are seeking a dedicated Entry Level IT Audit Intern for our team serving clients in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC area. This position will be fully remote, begin in early-mid February, and have a flexible end-date (possible internship opportunity of 12 months+). The expected workload ranges from 20 to 40 hours per week (either in a part-time or full-time capacity). Candidates who are pursuing a MIS degree or interested in IT Audit are strongly encouraged to apply. Our firm pays competitive market rates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Attend client SOX walkthrough meetings with Audit cycle owners to become familiar with SOX cycles tested and assist in developing current year narratives.
  • Perform SOX testing according to the audit program with guidance of Audit Services cycle owner.
  • Participate in audits outside of SOX testing as assigned, such as the distribution center cycle count audit.
  • Communicate effectively with Audit Services client personnel to obtain information, verify facts and discuss any issues that may occur.
  • Prepare workpapers in a clear and logical manner to document the audit work performed and explain any exceptions.
  • Address review comments on prepared workpapers from audit managers

Requirements:

  • Must be Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university or pursuing a graduate degree in MIS
  • Applicants should be Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting majors
  • Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be willing to learn, have good ethics, great personality, and strong interest and commitment to the position
