Jr. Operations Specialist Intern

Location: Charlotte, NC or East Coast Remote

The Junior Operations Specialist will assist the Operations Leader in driving the effectiveness and efficiency of our Client Success & Support department through designing and implementing processes, systems, metrics, and management dashboards that scale to support it all. You will align closely with the department’s functional teams, Product Support, Client Success, Client Advocacy, and Solutions Advisory to identify and streamline their operational needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the Operations Leader to understand business challenges and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with department Leadership on tasks related to planning, scheduling and coordination of programs, initiatives, and related activities; assist Operations Leader in estimating scope, resources, time, and costs.

  • Help to build, automate, and maintain regularly scheduled operating reports and providing proactive trend analysis to help guide and steer the Client Success & Support organization.

  • Work on various projects surrounding data cleanup, reporting/analysis on trends within the interdepartmental functional teams.

  • Exposure to other aspects of process improvement and project management with relation to performance metrics, customer satisfaction ratings, forecasting and the like.

  • Learn and apply continuous improvement methodologies to optimize functions throughout the Client Success & Support organization.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience with dashboard creation and data visualization/presentation tools and/or reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI; understanding of SQL is a plus.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and competency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite required.

  • Strong critical thinking skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with others in both large and small groups.

  • Knowledge or interest in business process analysis, business and data analysis, performance metrics, and management consulting and/or change management.

  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through and propose optimal solutions.

  • In the second or final year of undergraduate business, computer science degree or other related degrees. Preferred majors, minors and concentrations include Operations, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, and Mathematics.

What to Expect:

Our Summer 2022 Internship Program begins June 6, 2022 and is projected through August 26th. Your professional growth and development will be supported throughout the internship program via project work related to your academic and professional interests, mentorship, and engaging events with other interns and company leadership. Our internship is desired to be onsite, however, we will evaluate as Summer 2022 approaches.
