Hillenbrand is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit Intern to join our team. The position is remote and can be out of any geographical area in the US. As an Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit Intern you will gain valuable hands-on experience through rewarding projects and robust summer programs. We assign challenging tasks that build on the intern’s skills and enhance their business savvy. What you’ll do:

Internship Project:

1. IT Sarbanes-Oxley Testing
2. IT Audit Projects
3. Ad-hoc Internal Audit departmental projects

  • State tax compliance - preparing returns and supporting schedules
  • Tax audit support -gather information for IRS & State audits
  • Estimated payment support – assist in preparation of calculation, preparation of vouchers & set up payments
  • Provision support – assist with updating schedules that will be used for quarter close & year-end
  • Sales tax support – assist with preparation of return
  • Other duties to be assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in technology (MIS, IT, Computer Science)
  • Junior level in college
  • Desire to learn and contribute to the team
  • Willingness to ask questions

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior internship experience
