Kalman & Company is seeking a highly motivated, performance-driven individual with strong analysis experience to work closely with our Government clients in the Northern, VA area. Successful candidates will have excellent communication, quantitative, research, and analytical skills and the capability to lead, or principally contribute to, several of the largest and most significant studies in Kalman's portfolio.

  • The Business Analyst position will include, but is not limited to, the following capabilities:
  • Support Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Economic Analysis (EA) studies
  • Lead, develop, update, and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for supporting program analyses
  • Support data analytics and advanced analytics efforts
  • Lead, develop, update, manipulate, and maintain cost and affordability model
  • Lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data
  • Evaluate program investment and acquisition strategies and courses of action
  • Conduct planning for acquisition of capabilities
  • Identify sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions
  • Identify interface maintenance funding requirements for all affected platforms/systems
  • Provide a basis and supporting materials for briefings to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals
  • Develop an understanding of Navy and Marine Corps Acquisition process
  • Lead in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages presenting the results of analysis
  • Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection, analysis, and results presentation
  • Provide thought leadership clearly demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges of the customer
  • Support delivery in the Quantico and Stafford areas
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain a government issued security clearance.
  • Degree in engineering, scientific or mathematical fields
  • Excellent analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Advanced Degree is preferred.
  • Prior internship experience is preferred.
  • Financial management and program management experience are also preferred
