Finance Intern (Summer 2022)
The Finance Intern will learn how a finance department operates in a strong controls environment. Interns will be introduced to the various roles within the finance team and gain understanding of how operational performance impacts the company’s financial performance. All assignments address real business needs, giving broad exposure to the organization while supporting academic training. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Finance or Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and perform Sarbanes-Oxley testing.
- Participate in the development of visual management processes.
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities.
- Provide support to all members and functions within the finance team.
- Learn and understand the basics of each finance role through job shadowing.
- Specific responsibilities will vary, and be assigned, based upon the immediate needs of the business.
- Successful completion of basic Accounting courses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to collaborate with others as well as work autonomously
- Must be self-motivated, ambitious and take initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Rising Junior or Senior level student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Prior internship experience preferred
- Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
