Your Impact:


Candidate will be a part of a close-knit, full-stack development team specializing in the development of tracking and communications products for law enforcement, military, and commercial customers. A candidate will have the opportunity to explore all elements of full-stack embedded product development while being an essential and contributing member on mission critical applications used by a diverse and demanding userbase.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • RTOS development
  • Embedded systems programming
  • Mobile and desktop application development
  • Hardware and software debugging using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG, and spectrum analyzer
  • Documentation hardware, device features, and development methodologies
  • Presenting and discussing technical problems and solutions with project stakeholders and team members
  • Researching and presenting information on IC components, tools, new relevant technologies
  • Learning and utilizing new software, toolchains, device architectures, and device interfaces
  • Collaborating and interfacing with remote team members
Here’s What You’ll Need:


Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, currently in junior year or higher
  • Cumulative GPS > 3.0/4.0
  • Completed one previous internship

Desired Skills (nice to have but not required, ex. Education):

  • Experience in C, C#, C++, or Java
  • Experience with RTOS development
  • Experience developing unit tests and test plans
  • Experience developing platform agnostic applications
  • Experience with tools and concepts supporting software version control systems
  • Technical knowledge and technical writing ability for writing technical requirements,
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Experience writing embedded software on microcontrollers such as ARM, MSP430, PIC, AVR, etc.
  • Experience utilizing and interfacing with low level device drivers for microcontroller peripherals such as SPI, UART, I2C, ADC, DAC, USB etc.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics to enable firmware development
  • Good understanding of tasks, threads, inter-process communications, and other typical embedded operating system concepts and debugging methodologies
  • Follows best practices with respect to code documentation and revision control
  • Good team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good with documenting/organizing work
  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Practical understanding software development lifecycle
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a team environment, both in person and remote
  • Ability to learn new skill as needed and effectively seek out resources for doing so
  • Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to deal politely and effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
