Your Impact:


Candidate will work alongside electrical, mechanical, and software engineers on a team developing the next generation of professional-grade tracking and communications products. A candidate will have the opportunity to provide meaningful and essential contributions to the electrical engineering design of mission critical devices utilized by law enforcement, military, and commercial customers. Working closely with other engineers, the work may include, though is not limited to, PCB design, schematic generation, part selection, prototyping, failure analysis, testing, and evaluation of both digital and analog subsystems implementing physical and wireless communications.

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design circuits at the schematic level
  • Derive requirements, select components, and perform schematic design
  • Utilize development boards and/or breadboards to prove out circuit designs
  • Oversee and inspect board layouts
  • Test circuit boards and electronic systems to prove functionality, debug as required
  • Assist in the development of production-level tests
  • Support transition from development to production
  • Perform failure analysis on problem areas
  • Document results of testing and failure analysis
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
  • Support project and group meetings to include providing updates of project/task progress, issues, mitigation inputs
Here’s What You’ll Need:


Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a security clearance
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, currenly in junior year or higher
  • Completed one internship previously
  • Cumulative GPS > 3.0/4.0

Desired Skills (nice to have but not required, ex. Education):

  • Experience with PCB/schematic design software such as Allegro, OrCAD, Eagle, and Altium Designer
  • Ability to generate schematics and circuit board development
  • Experience/working knowledge with one or more of the following:
  • Micro-controller-based designs
  • GPS receivers
  • Cellular & satellite communications
  • Rechargeable batteries and battery chargers
  • Low power design
  • Commercial SDRs /GNU Radio
  • Technical knowledge and technical writing ability for writing technical requirements, design documents, and deployment documentation
  • Ability to learn new skill as needed and effectively seek out resources for doing so
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a team environment, both in person and remote
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to deal politely and effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment, with demanding deadlines while ensuring internal/external customer needs are met
  • Ability to read and understand datasheets for integrated circuits
  • Good knowledge of electronic components and test equipment
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office software products
  • Good problem-solving skills
