Department:

The mission of the Early Clinical Development (ECD) Clinical Operations group is to develop and drive expert operational strategies through high functioning teams to enable quality, data-driven decisions for Genentech Research & Early Development (gRED). We aspire to be cutting-edge leaders making innovative science a reality for our patients.

We have an internship position available within the ECD Clinical Operations department of gRED. This particular internship will support teams dedicated to advancing inclusive research in gRED clinical trials.

Responsibilities

gRED ECD Clinical Operations provides expertise for clinical trials that support the overall early development strategies of the gRED portfolio.

This internship will provide exposure to the day-to-day activities within gRED ECD Clinical Operations as they relate to strategies around advancing inclusive research and patient centricity. The intern will be assigned tasks to support these efforts and will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with members of the advancing inclusive research and patient centricity teams. Assigned responsibilities may include:

  • Research and summarize information related to inclusive research and patient centricity for communication across various internal teams.

  • Correspond with internal and external stakeholders to obtain feedback to drive various projects.

  • Help develop and maintain a knowledge repository of inclusive research strategies and tactics implemented by study teams across gRED ECD Clinical Operations.

  • Assist with the development of slide decks to organize and present project-related information across various stakeholders.

  • Present key learnings within a gRED ECD Clinical Operations forum.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program at a University or within 2 years of graduation from last degree

  • The ability to work independently and proactively with minimal guidance

  • Self-motivated

  • Good time management skills

  • A positive attitude

  • Strong customer focus

  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to interact well within a team setting and work well in an ambiguous setting

  • Can communicate and collaborate effectively with junior and senior level professionals

  • Proficiency with managing and using software, dashboards and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Tableau.

Given the current uncertainty of the global pandemic and work from home situation for 2022, this internship is currently planned to be virtual with the option for interns to work remotely from within the U.S. Borders. We will keep candidates informed if this changes. We will only consider international candidates who are currently in the US and will remain in the US for the duration of the internship.

For Colorado-based applicants, the expected salary range for this position is [21/hr - 50/hr]. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for the benefits listed below.
