This internship will be working on all Shiseido brands.
Description
The Shiseido Summer Internship program is a paid, full time 9-week program for college rising Juniors or Seniors. Throughout the program, Summer Interns will gain hands-on experience at one of the top cosmetic companies in the world while working on meaningful projects, networking, participating in professional development workshops, speaker series, and more!
What You’ll Do Work alongside your manager to build your acumen in the selected department and integrate with your team Attend team meetings, assist with departmental tasks and network within the business Participate in professional development, speaker series, and additional social programming events specifically designed for the summer interns Create and present a project to senior leadership generated around true business opportunity
Responsibilities
Assist in implementing best purchasing processes at Shiseido Americas
Support and drive tactical direct procurement services for Shiseido
Support Regionalization efforts by standardizing, harmonizing, and simplifying business practices were identified
Support supplier development activities under category manager’s guidance
Responsible to manage RFP’s, RFI’s, quotation process, cost benchmarking, and analysis
Lead and implement a process for mold management.
Lead and implement a process for capacity management.
Ensure processes can be maintained post internship
Support Direct purchasing projects to align with regional objectives.
Timely and accurate data management of supplier information.
Performs RFP’s, RFI’s, quotation process, cost benchmarking, analysis, supplier requirements, negotiations, and submits for approval.
Continually perform process improvements to streamline business activities.
Assist with financial reporting for Management reviews.

Requirements/Qualifications
Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree
Purchasing or Supply Chain degree a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Seeks and uses ‘customer’ feedback to improve effectiveness
Has excellent problem-solving skills, resolves solutions of moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
Has to ability to lead and direct others in assignments of moderate complexity and will implement solutions with minimal guidance. Results oriented. Additional Information: Interns will be selected on a rolling basis and will be notified by a member of the recruiting team if selected for an interview. This program may be hybrid or fully remote depending on your function and individual team needs.
