Lifecycle Marketing Intern: The lifecycle marketing team is a data-led, creative thinking and results-driven team who oversees all one-to-one communications with our discovery+ subscribers. We are fast, nimble, and have fun telling engaging stories to millions of viewers across the email and mobile space, while bringing new experiences to life to not only entertain, but improve the lives of our customers. As content creators across the digital ecosystem, we continuously leverage our technology to create immersive viewing and interactive experiences by partnering closely with Subscriber Retention, Product Marketing, Product & Engineering, Analytics, and Design.
The Lifecycle Marketing Intern will support our discovery+ engagement strategy to maximize subscriber lifetime value through email, push, and in-app campaigns. You will work on campaigns from beginning to end starting with our go-to-market strategy for priority shows or stunts, like Shark Week, submitting creative briefs, building the campaigns, and deploying to the intended audience. You will also work on providing users with a holistic experience from pre-launch to post-launch working on campaigns like Coming Soon, Now Available, Stream Next, Similar Shows Coming Soon, and Series/Season Binge.
TRVL Channel Creative Marketing Intern: At TRVL Channel, we have a passion for the paranormal. The Creative Marketing team is responsible for producing campaigns that promote our brand, genre, and shows on TRVL Channel and the Paranormal/True-Horror genre on discovery+. We’re a small but agile team who pride themselves on efficiency while also pushing new and creative ways to market our scary-good programming content. Working alongside the Strategic Marketing team, we plan and devise campaigns that align strategy, brand message and promotion with Discovery’s broader business goals.
The Creative Marketing intern will support the day-to-day function of the TRVL Channel marketing team. This will include assisting video producers with any footage/assets requests, department organizational needs, episode screenings, and creative brainstorms. They will also shadow editing and voice-over sessions for multiple platform marketing initiatives, including TRVL Channel’s massive Ghostober marketing campaign.
Global Creative & Marketing Operations Intern: Our team focuses on the management (organization, storage, optimization and delivery) of a wide range of asset types, including DTC creative assets and digital content assets.
Global Creative & Marketing Operations streamlines the production, organization, management, and distribution of marketing assets across platforms in support of strategic initiatives. Basically, we ensure all Discovery-produced marketing and digital videos of the cooking of pasta by celebrity chefs, the booping of puppy noses, the crafting of recycled-wood side tables, and numerous whirlwind marriage proposals get in front of the largest possible audience. Digital, marketing and direct-to-consumer is a rapidly changing landscape, and we are the sowers of those seeds.
The intern will be involved directly in helping to oversee and organize Discovery's marketing, digital and creative asset libraries. They will learn the ins and outs of the content supply chain, from greenlight to delivery to our platforms and partners. She/he will help ensure the entire globe can access the best marketing content that exists. When someone watches a video produced by a major media brand on YouTube, they do not get insight into the pipeline behind that video, including how that content is accessed, adapted and utilized across multiple platforms around the globe. This internship will give insight into what truly is involved in getting a piece of content from someone's brain to a viewer's eyes.
Strategic Growth Intern: The discovery+ Strategic Growth team focuses on go-to-market strategies global pricing, packaging, promotions & new market launches, supporting the ideation, iteration, planning and execution of key growth initiatives in the U.S. and Canada. The fun part - seeing are campaigns in prime time and meeting our lofty goals!
This internship will focus on new audience/cohort packaging and go-to-market strategies - cohort value, response strategies and insights/best practices. A special project will be crafted that aligns during the summer time frame, and provide the opportunity for the Strategic Growth Intern to truly dive deep in to what we do and leave their stamp on discovery+, often visible in market campaigns!
