A role in our distribution team affords a candidate the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of how video content gets to eyeballs. The Distribution team is the first and last mile when it comes to exposing the Discovery brand to consumers - we are the team negotiating with companies for carriage of our powerful apps, networks, and shows. Working in this group exposes you to new things every day, a fast-paced environment, and a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the scale of the media industry. In close collaboration with many teams, the Distribution team represents roughly half of Discovery's overall revenue and is a key driver in the future growth of the company.

This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

Our Digital Distribution group works closely with the biggest companies in the world (think Apple, Amazon, Google, etc.) to evolve the way people consume television and movies. An intern in our group will be exposed to every aspect of the media industry. In particular, some of an interns responsibilities will include:
- Conducting market research & analysis to track and compile industry trends; maintain an understanding of the competitive marketplace (e.g., positioning of other networks and services)
- Brainstorm creative ideas to help gain more eyeballs of Discovery's shows and brands
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
- Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
