Boise Cascade has an opening for an exciting summer internship focused within the Talent space, which is part our Human Resources Leadership team. This internship will provide the opportunity for someone to have impact at the organizational level, focusing on taking recent feedback from Boise Cascade’s employees and designing an educational experience for all employees. **The internship will have some remote opportunity. The role requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace. The company places a high value on safety and any in-person meeting activity is done in accordance with CDC guidelines related to safe working practices. This role requires someone who can work autonomously and be accountable to potential remote working settings. **

Responsibilities:
  • The intern's focus will be to review feedback from our Associate Listening Sessions, speak with appropriate partners across the organization, and develop a platform that allows any employee, new or tenured, a chance to gain knowledge, perspective, and a grasp of what makes Boise Cascade so special.
  • Help provide structure and momentum to talent management & learning activities through detailed note taking and action item identification and management.
  • Develop project plans to model delivery timelines and inform scope and resourcing related to upcoming Talent learning projects.
  • Conduct research with multiple vendors for specific learning needs.
  • Help with employee onboarding programs and iterate to enhance each new hire's experience.
  • Support development of internal marketing and communication plans to promote and raise awareness for programming and projects.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; currently progressing towards a college degree. Office environment with minimal physical exertion. Work well with team members. Experience in the building materials industry is a plus.
