WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Edge Delta is looking for an incredible, self-motivated, and detail oriented Sales Development Representative Intern to add to its growing sales and marketing internship program. It’s the perfect job for someone who is in their Junior or Senior year of their Undergrad studies, and looking to break into the fast-growing enterprise software industry and pursue a dynamic high-tech sales career.
This internship is designed to take your academic studies, experience, and raw talent, and help you combine them and refine them! We not only want you to leave this program with awesome friends who you're learning side-by-side with, truly amazing mentors who are dedicated to helping you succeed, and irreplaceable hands-on experience working directly with potential Enterprise customers - We ALSO want you to leave this program with an offer to join Edge Delta as a full-time, permanent Sales Development Representative!
In this role, you will be a part of the Seattle SDR team and will be responsible for generating new opportunities, handling inbound sales inquiries, representing Edge Delta at local career fairs, following up on marketing campaigns, and collaborating with our Sales counterparts to build our sales pipeline.
- Prospect into accounts within your territory, and partner with Enterprise Sales on lead generation campaigns.
- Fill the pipeline with well-qualified sales leads by engaging prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
- Conduct high level conversations with mid-to-senior level executives in the DevOps space, sharing with them the value proposition of the Edge Delta Platform.
- Execute on key research projects working closely with Edge Delta’s Director of Sales, the Director of Demand Generation, and other Marketing resources.
Who you are:
We are seeking to employ a student for this SDR Internship opportunity who can consistently work 10-30 hours/week in our Seattle HQ offices in Columbia Center, Downtown Seattle (@ $20/hr + Commission) and who is interested in a long term, permanent placement following graduation. The ideal candidate has a background that demonstrates their success in being competitive, diligent, goal-oriented, and ambitious. They are fascinated by technology (even if you don’t consider yourself super 'high-tech').
- Working on a four year university/college degree
- Based in Seattle and able to travel into Edge Delta’s headquarters (Downtown)
- Demonstrable experience and proficiency in high pressure, competitive situations
- A willingness to learn new skill sets and are open to coaching
- Passion for technology
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup team environment
- You're a meticulous, innovative, and creative thinker - and you're never satisfied with the status quo
- You have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; you have a track record of giving successful presentations.
- Experience using LinkedIn, Salesforce, Outreach.io, and/or cold-calling is a plus!
