This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:
ID/TRVL Digital & Social Media Video Intern: The ID/TRVL Digital & Social Media team is in charge of curating and cultivating both networks’ social media platforms as well as interacting with their audiences and providing socially appropriate content that will resonate with fans in the true crime and paranormal spaces. We aim to promote true crime and paranormal content available on discovery+ as well as support our linear show premieres. We keep a pulse on current trending crime and paranormal news and help bring about overall brand awareness by creating viral videos in the ID and TRVL voice.

The ID/TRVL Digital & Social Media team is looking for an intern who will assist with researching and producing trending true crime or paranormal news videos along with companion videos for discovery+ priority shows to be posted to our social media platforms. Our intern will also be responsible for helping our team stay current in digital media trends and monitor competitors’ content for new social strategies. By the end of this hands-on internship, an ID/TRVL Digital & Social Media intern will walk away with a portfolio of social-native videos they helped produce as well as a broader understanding of social media content strategy

Food Network Social Media Intern
: Our department works on all things digital for Food Network – specifically for social. We get to collaborate with our video, editorial and culinary teams to produce drool-worthy recipes and content for all social platforms. Additionally, we get to brainstorm and produce content to promote all the television shows that people know and love!

This role will touch every aspect of the Food Network’s daily social media operations, with a special focus on TikTok. Our intern will have the opportunity to grow and foster an engaging community on TikTok by assisting with video brainstorming, production and editing. Beyond that, they will have the potential to work on projects for our other social media platforms, such as scheduling posts, writing copy or creating thumbnails for YouTube.
Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management Systems, Editing

  • We offer 12-week spring and summer opportunities

  • Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.

  • The application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.

  • Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.

  • We do not require a cover letter- please do not submit one. Instead, demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume and interviews.
