Position Description

Hybrid internship with some work from home and in office

Atlantic Union’s Diversity Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local diverse students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks, and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Atlantic Union’s FIU Quality Program Intern Program is designed to give college students an introduction into controls testing and process management. It is our intent to give the Intern real assignments. Assignments that stretch the Intern, provide the Intern with valuable experience, and allow the Intern to contribute to the FIU Quality Program.

Position Accountabilities

The Intern is provided assignments that include the entire audit process; from planning an audit, to performing test work, to creating issues for reporting audit findings, to finalizing an audit. The intern will also get the opportunity to:

  • Shadow and perform a Deep Dive planning and event
  • Shadow and perform different types of test work.
  • Shadow and perform reporting of testing.
  • Shadow and perform remediation test work.
  • Shadow and perform control documentation creation and other related projects as necessary.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Manager of FIU Quality Program

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years’ old
  • Currently working on degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Automation Technology, Science, Mathematics, and/or Engineering.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Position is currently remote. Once offices re-open, position will be hybrid. Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references
