Position Description

Atlantic Union’s Diversity Summer Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local diverse students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks, and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

Our Consumer Lending team is in charge of offering best-in-class products, processes, and pricing to meet the ever-changing borrowing needs of our clients.

As an intern on the Consumer Lending team, you’ll be part of a passionate group of talented, experienced professionals who work every day to build on past successes and ensure that Atlantic Union Bank is our client’s “go to” choice for loan products. The intern will work with the Product Manager to implement a new platform for small business lending and develop performance reporting.

Position Accountabilities

  • Assist with the review of small business credit policy and the development of new credit guidelines.
  • Assist with the development of reporting metrics for small business lending.
  • Assist with credit card market research and evaluate different operating models.
  • Assist with the execution, communication and performance evaluation of credit card campaigns.

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Consumer Lending Product Manager.

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years’ old.
  • Currently working on degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Management or Marketing.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree.
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. Interns will work remotely at a workspace that meets Atlantic Union Bank standards. The Intern may be invited to work onsite on occasion.
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position.
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references.
