BAE Systems Platforms and Services (P&S) is a leading provider and systems integrator of tracked and wheeled armored combat vehicles, naval guns, naval ship repair and modernization, artillery and missile launching systems, advanced precision strike munitions and ordnance, and other technologies for U.S. and international customers. We employ advanced manufacturing technologies, a highly skilled workforce and robust supplier base to deliver affordable and technologically superior solutions.
As a Sustainability Intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. You will also have access to additional benefits such as, networking with BAE Systems employees and other students, participating in exciting real world projects, joining exclusive informational sessions with senior leaders, and expanding mentorship opportunities and career development.
The Facilities team is seeking a Sustainability Intern with an Engineering or Sustainability background, who will be supporting the Platforms & Services Net Zero Program. This will be a remote position.

The Facilities team is seeking a Sustainability Intern with an Engineering or Sustainability background, who will be supporting the Platforms & Services Net Zero Program. This will be a remote position.
As a Sustainability Intern, you will:
- Collect and analyze information such as energy/emissions data, project data, financial data, and life cycle costing
- Support various facility teams by completing project energy analysis, assisting in evaluating utility tariffs, and assisting with standards interpretation
- Work within and across teams to accomplish goals
- Lead and/or support special projects
- Work virtually within the Facilities function to improve data management
- Work across the business to collect information and data, and support a sustainability forecast model
- Help drive the business toward its goal of becoming Net Zero by 2030
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Currently enrolled Bachelor’s Degree program pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or related fields
- Ability to work for at least 10 weeks during the summer
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience developing data in PowerBI
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience or demonstrated interest in developing forecasting models
- Preferred Junior or Senior standing
